LASER ADVICE
Laser surgery, (lasik, epi-lasik) is becoming increasingly popular, with surgeons continually refining techniques and lasers becoming more advanced. Generally the results are good, however, it's important to bear in mind that like any surgical procedure, complications can occur. These complications range from minor irritations to major crises, so it is worth investigating the procedure before committing to this surgery. As we have no vested interest we can offer you advice on all the pros and cons of this type of surgery, and also do a full investigation to see if you are a suitable candidate, and, if you so wish, make recommendations on the surgeon you should see.
Post Laser Surgery follow- up is also very important. We use the latest computerized corneal topography equipment to check on your cornea to ensure that the surgery has been successful and help you with your visual needs after the surgery. We also use Z-Wave to help individuals whose laser surgeries have gone badly and who no longer have good quality vision. Z-wave uses CAD/CAM (computer aided design, computer aided manufacture) to produce an extremely complicated contact lens to correct the resultant corneal irregularities resulting from a laser surgery gone wrong.
